it's a wonderful day here, virtually cloudless skies and very warm
temperature with only moderate humidity, we'll be underway in just
over 10 minutes time with what should be a cracking match between
the pre-tournament favourites the Netherlands and the
big surprise package of the competition, Namibia, who are the only
unbeaten side here, and have come up the ranks from the 2nd
Division to qualify for this final and automatically book a spot
in the 2003 World Cup in South Africa
Namibia have won the toss and elected to bat first, and no wonder
considering the great pitches this ground has produced,
particularly towards the latter stages of the tournament, where
big scores are the norm and it doesn't mean chasing sides can't
get
anywhere near them
Namibia have kept the same line-up as they took into the "semi
final" against Scotland on this very same ground on Friday, with
Morne Karg taking 12th man duties
the Dutch see Adeel Raja dropped from their last match against the
United States of America, with captain Roland Lefebvre returning,
while Hendrik-Jan Mol is 12th man to allow the return of Asim Khan
to the playing XI
the players make their way out to the field with umpires Koertzen
and Nicholls, while umpire Hair sits next to the TV screen today

Namibia have been stunned, they were so, so, so very close but in
