New Zealand stopped Matthew Hayden short of a century but his Queensland teammates continued the run scoring in the tour match at the Gabba today.
At lunch on the third day, Queensland was 3-247 in its first innings - trailing the Black Caps by 197 runs - after Hayden was dismissed for 97.
He clipped a catch from a leading edge off Chris Martin (1-51) and was clearly annoyed at playing across the line.
Martin Love (39) was the other batsman out in the pre-lunch session, edging a catch behind to Adam Parore off the consistent bowling of Chris Cairns (1-51).
But Clinton Perren (26 not out) and Andrew Symonds (32 not out) combined for an unbeaten partnership of 56 which took the Bulls to lunch.
The Gabba wicket hasn't contained its usual life but playing conditions are more favourable today after temperatures dropped beneath 30 degrees celsius for the first time in the match.
