Daren Ganga, the West Indies batsman and Trinidad and Tobago captain, will lead a West Indies Players Association All Star XI against England in a 50-over match at Guaracara Park. The game - to be played on March 14 - is meant as a warm-up for the visiting England team ahead of the T20 international against West Indies in Port-of-Spain and the subsequent five-match ODI series starting on March 20.
The WIPA team includes
Lendl Simmons - who made his Test debut in the fifth Test in Trinidad - and wicketkeeper
William Perkins, who has played one T20 international, against Australia in June 2008. Barbados allrounder
Ryan Hurley, who has represented West Indies in nine ODIs, and
Lincoln Roberts, who has played one Test, also find a place.
The team for the tour game was selected on the basis of performances in the inaugural WIPA Twenty20 Champions League held in May last year.
