Scorecard
Sean Clingeleffer carried on the good work done by Michael Bevan and Daniel Marsh on the first day, as Tasmania were finally dismissed for 500 in their first innings against Western Australia at Hobart. Adam Griffith, the Tasmanian medium pacer, got rid of both WA openers cheaply but a 132-run third-wicket partnership between Murray Goodwin and Marcus North lead the revival and took them to 2 for 177 when stumps were drawn.
Earlier Clingeleffer made 92 to prop up the innings after Bevan (190) and Marsh (121) were out without adding substantially to their overnight total. He added 68 for the sixth wicket with George Bailey before stitching together another useful stand of 81 with Damien Wright (36). Steve Magoffin was the most successful bowler for the Warriors, taking 5 for 76.
