Despite Hampshire's disapointing season so far, two Hampshire players have come away with the June, PPP healthcare County Championship batting and bowling award.
Giles White Hampshire opening bat was awarded the monthly batting award for June. White has been the most consistent of all of Hampshire's batters in 2000, and at times has held the sides innings together. His innings of 96 at The Oval early June, was a feat of endurance against Surrey's international attack.
As befitting one of the Wisden five cricketers of the 20th century, Shane Warne has already paid major dividends to the side with consistant bowling perfomances. His 8/55 match figures against Durham at Basingstoke was testimony to this.
With the framed certificate, both players received cheques for £250.
