15-Apr-2000
At Sharjah, November 8 (day/night). India won by seven wickets. Toss: India.
Tendulkar became the first man to score 20 one-day international centuries. Added to his 16 Test hundreds, that made him the leading international century-maker of all time - beating the aggregate of 35 achieved by Sunil Gavaskar, Desmond Haynes and Viv Richards. This time, Tendulkar scored 118 - 60 per cent of the total - in 112 balls, with 14 fours and two sixes, as India coasted home with nearly ten overs in hand. Earlier, the spin troika of Kumble, Joshi and Chopra wrecked Zimbabwe's innings; they were 83 for six halfway through, and only a fifty from Streak lifted them to 196.
Man of the Match: S. R. Tendulkar.
